It was time once again for another iconic family portrait session with the Salguiero family! Photographer Steven always has the best time capturing this crew, especially because every year they bring a brand-new, wildly creative theme to life! The Salguiero’s are known for turning their family portraits into something fun and completely unique, and this year they took inspiration from the classic Oregon Trail video game. If you remember past sessions, they’ve done everything from Christmas in July, to a Vintage 90’s workout theme, to emo goth, and somehow, each year just keeps getting better.
To make the vision come together, we needed a location that felt straight out of the 1800’s, complete with wagons and historic buildings. Photographer Steven instantly thought of Pioneer Village at Shingle Creek in Kissimmee, and it was the perfect fit. The venue managers were incredibly helpful and even assisted with setting up the space to make sure we had a variety of backdrops throughout the village. The Salguiero family arrived fully in costume and absolutely nailed the look. Steven also used a fun vintage editing style to enhance the old-time feel of the session! And of course, little Leo brought all the personality… still the same goofball we’ve loved capturing over the years. To the Salguiero family, we always have SO much fun photographing your annual family portraits, and we can’t wait to see what creative theme you come up with next year!
