Intimate Weddings Blue Ridge Mountains Georgia

It’s hard to say no to an opportunity to travel to the Blue Ridge Mountains for a wedding! Due to all of the restrictions placed on their wedding originally booked here in Orlando, Gillian and Phil decided to move their wedding to Blue Ridge, Georgia, their way! They invited their family to join them at the Sky High Lodge cabin in the mountains of Blue Ridge, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! This time of year, the leaves are changing to a beautiful shade of yellow and orange, and temperatures are starting to cool down in anticipation of the fall! Coming from Orlando, photographer Michael was definitely looking forward to this destination wedding and capturing Gillian and Phil in such a beautiful environment! Gillian began her day with bridal hair and makeup at Covet Haircrafters, and once she was done, she headed back up to Sky High Lodge to get into her beautiful bridal gown and put the finishing touches on her bouquet from Preserved Flowers! Michael captured a few bridal party portraits of the guys and girls separately, playing a bit in the rain and at the pool table inside the cabin! After these portraits, it was time for their indoor ceremony!

During their ceremony, Gillian and Phil exchanged their sweet wedding vows, their wedding rings, and of course the kiss! We followed their ceremony with family portraits, then took their bridal party outside for group portraits! We took Gillian and Phil out for some portraits and one of our signature double-exposure portraits, showing off the beautiful fall colors! Their wedding reception was also full of dances, smiles, and delicious food prepared by Chef Jeff Servin! We snuck them out one last time at night to experiment with some rainy night portraits, and we’re pretty happy with the result! We can’t thank Gillian and Phil for not only taking us with them into the mountains of Georgia, but for also being up for so many portraits we wanted throughout the day!
