Photographer Steven and second photographer Michael had such an amazing time capturing Sam and Joe’s wedding day at Highland Manor! We met Sam and Joe at a wedding show, and the moment they said they were getting married on Earth Day, we knew they would be a perfect fit for us! They definitely share the same love of our planet Earth that we do, and they incorporated so many earthy elements into their wedding day. Photographers Steven and Michael started off the day capturing the getting ready details of both the bride and the groom. This is the magic of having two photographers, we can be in two places at once! We also loved the floral arrangements from Farm Nine, they were gorgeous! Since the couple did not want to do a first look, we snuck them and their wedding parties outside separately to capture pre-ceremony portraits. We then captured a beautiful first touch moment in front of the staircase, and Sam used this moment to give Joe his anniversary card, which she always hand-paints every year. Then, it was time for the ceremony!
The ceremony was lead by a friend of Sam and Joe’s and included personal vows, a ring exchange, and a local peacock admiring the everything lol! After this super sweet ceremony came to an end, we moved into capturing family, wedding party, and bride and groom portraits which was perfectly timed with the sunset! Second photographer Michael during this time captured the details in the ballroom (check out the display they did on the piano, they brought our pine tree we gave them at the engagement session and wrote a sweet message, how nice is that?), then it was time for the reception! The reception started off with introductions of the wedding party, Sam and Joe’s first dance, speeches by family members, and a delicious dinner catered by Dubsdread Catering. Then, it was time to party! Mix On Wheels/Miles DJ Entertainment kept the party going all night while we snuck Sam and Joe outside for the last couple’s portraits. We even did a fun Earth Day night portrait in front of the iconic tree! We sent them back inside to enjoy the dancing, then to wrap up the night, their guests lined up and raised their arms together for a fun grand exit and send off! To Sam and Joe, thank you for such a beautiful and fun Earth Day wedding! We are so thankful we got to celebrate with you, and congratulations again!
