Grand Canyon Wedding Photographer | Shoshone Point Arizona Weddings

We had the AMAZING pleasure of traveling with Kim and Bryan to Grand Canyon National Park for their intimate destination wedding!!  We’ve never captured a wedding here before, but we have to say it was one of the most beautiful backdrops we’ve had the privilege to utilize for photography!  Kim actually met us here in Orlando, and was thrilled at the idea that we would travel for her wedding out west!

Just like Kim and Bryan, their wedding day was incredibly relaxed and easy-going.  Their day took place entirely within the Grand Canyon National Park, with Kim and Bryan’s wedding preparations taking place in their respective cabins within the Grand Canyon Village.  Once they were ready, we traveled over to the intimate Shoshone Point for their outdoor canyon ceremony.  They held the ceremony right on the edge of the rim, placing the Grand Canyon right behind them for a perfect backdrop!  After their I-Do’s, their wedding sand ceremony, and the kiss, we captured their portraits around the pavilion, then took Kim and Bryan all the way out to the edge of Shoshone Point for some breathtaking photos!  Nicknamed “Billy Goat” by Kim, Bryan had no problem hopping around the cliffs and terrifying his photographers Steven and Michael, but their bravery in turn contributed to some amazing shots for us! :)

We then proceeded to Thunderbird Lodge for their indoor reception, which included a sweet lunch and cocktail, wedding cake cutting, first dances, parent dances, and toasts to the bride and groom!  Shortly after, we took Kim and Bryan outside again (keep in mind it’s only about 80 degrees outside!) for more portraits, actually heading down Bright Angel Trail into the Grand Canyon for some cool shots as well within and around the rocks!  Later that day, everyone reconvened at Shoshone Point for the beautiful sunset view that it’s known for!  You guessed it, we captured even more portraits during sunset, then let Kim and Bryan take a break and enjoy their after-reception party with pizza and sangria!!  Once the sun went down, you wouldn’t believe how amazing the moonlight lit up the entire canyon!  We took advantage of this with some amazing twilight wedding photos, something we’ve never done before!

We have to say, this is one of THE coolest weddings we’ve ever captured, and we thank Kim and Bryan SO much for giving us this grand opportunity for a Grand Canyon Wedding!  We hope they enjoy their sneak peek so far, and just wait until the rest are edited!!!  Congratulations you two!!
