Paradise Cove in Orlando was the beautiful, tropical setting for Hi’ilei and Jon’s wedding day recently! Photographers Steven Miller and Michael began their wedding day capturing Hi’ilei’s bridal preparations in Paradise Cove’s bridal cottage on property! Her hair and makeup services were provided by Melissa Maloy from Faces by Mel, and their amazing bouquets and boutonnieres were created by Jonathan’s Flowers. You’ll notice that Jon and his groomsmen wore leis, and we found out that they were actually authentic leis from Cindy’s Lei Shoppe in Oahu, Hawai’i!! We were asked to smell them…and WOW they were beautiful! Once they were both ready, we took Hi’ilei and Jon outside for their intimate first look, where they had a chance to secretly see each other for the first time before the ceremony! It was such a sweet moment, and we then had the opportunity to capture a set of bridal party portraits and photos of the two of them around the property!
After portraits, we proceeded to their lakefront Buddhist wedding ceremony, officiated by Jay Yamaguchi of SGI Minister of Ceremony. After this super-cool ceremony, and their important kiss, we captured family portraits then took our couple around for a few more shots before heading to their outdoor wedding reception! DJ Joe Marolis of Elegant Entertainment provided the awesome uplighting and rocking dance music throughout the evening! Hi’ilei’s family opened up the reception with traditional Hawaiian dances, then her grandmother and father performed a couple of songs live!! Plus Catering provided the delicious wedding catering, and Elegant Entertainment also provided the photobooth! We had such a blast with Hi’ilei and Jon, and we wish them both the very best!!
