Photographer Steven and assistant Melody had such a blast capturing Cassie and Mat’s beautiful wedding at Paradise Cove! We started off the day by greeting Cassie and her girls in the Bridal Cottage. While they were getting all glammed up by Travis from Laura Reynolds Artistry, we grabbed all of her details, brought them outside, and created a gorgeous flat lay, including their Harry Potter wands! After hair and makeup was completed, we took some shots of the girls in their PJ’s and took them outside for a champagne pop! Cassie was so nervous about popping the bottle, but she did a GREAT job and we loved the expressions from everyone in the process lol!! After enjoying some champagne, it was time to get dressed! As assistant Melody helped Cassie get into her gorgeous bridal gown, Steven greeted Mat and his guys, grabbed all of his personal details, and captured them as well. As soon as Cassie and her girls were ready and dressed, Steven captured some shots of the girls all ready, then it was time for the first look! This was the first time Mat saw Cassie in her dress, and it was such a sweet moment! The couple also took this time to exchange gifts and read personal vows. As their reading of vows wrapped up, we grabbed their wedding party for some portraits outside, then it was time for the ceremony!
The ceremony was officiated by Steve from CrashUrParty, LLC, and consisted of exchanging of rings, and even casting an unbreakable vow spell with each other! We really thought Steve was a true wizard, he did such a great job marrying these two with elements of wizarding magic! After sealing the deal with a kiss, we gathered all of their family members and took some family portraits outside, hoping the rain would stay back. Then, it was time to celebrate!
The couple and their guests enjoyed a delicious dinner catered by Cocktails Catering followed by Cassie and Mat’s first dance together. DJ Danny of DKN-tertainment then kicked off the party with plenty of thumping tunes and keeping that dance floor packed! We even spotted him out there dancing too!
After enjoying some time on the dance floor, we snuck Cassie and Mat outside for the light painting portraits! Cassie and Mat saw examples of these when we originally had our consult, and they wanted to decorate their own night portraits with our light painting magic! Our photographer Eric arrived and helped set all of this up during dinner. We basically painted shapes, patterns, and designs around them as they posed and held still for our camera. We even surprised them with their house colors of Ravenclaw, and made it a pattern for their portraits! We then wrapped up the night with a bubble grand exit and Cassie and Mat said their goodbyes and thank yous. To Cassie and Mat, thank you for inviting us to be a part of such a fun and unique wedding, and we appreciate you letting us share our creativity with you and your guests! We wish you nothing but love and happiness in the future, and congratulations! 💕📷🥂
