Photographer Michael and his assistant Melody had the best time photographing Ryan and Hilary’s wedding at the Orlando Science Center! We started off the day with the first look right across the street from the venue. Ryan was pretty shy in front of the camera at first, but all of those nerves went away when he saw Hilary in her gorgeous wedding gown by Solutions Bridal! After some couple’s portraits, we transitioned into family photos. We always love capturing family portraits before the ceremony especially since their ceremony took place after sunset. We captured all of the couple’s portraits, wedding party portraits, and even family portraits by the Mayor Tree and the Mennello Museum Sculpture Garden, which was so perfect because it provides ample shade even at 3 PM in the afternoon. Photographing the wedding party portraits were especially fun because everyone’s personalities really started to shine! Ryan & Hilary have a great group of friends that included guests of past weddings we have photographed and maybe one photography company owner we might know… Lol! Having this group of people made capturing the portraits a breeze. After taking a few more couple’s portraits and individual portraits, we headed inside the Science Center to photograph each member of the wedding party with the soon-to-be married couple in front of famous Stan the T-Rex! We wrapped up portraits, and then it was time for the ceremony!
Ryan & Hilary’s love for theme parks and pop culture became more prominent once the ceremony started, including the very clever “Remain seated with hands, arms, feet, and legs inside the vehicle. Supervise children.” Sign. We love this venue because of the gorgeous Downtown Orlando skyline it highlights! Guests started to arrive just as the sun began to set which made for a beautiful backdrop. The ceremony was led by Tess, a family friend, and consisted of vows read from the “Handbook for the Recently Deceased” book from Beetlejuice, the ring exchange, and a kiss to seal the deal! Right after the ceremony we captured a few more family portraits on the terrace, then it was time to celebrate!
Their reception was held in the Dino Room which MJ from Junction 88 lit up perfectly! Ryan and Hilary met in the theme parks while working and have traveled to plenty during their relationship, so it was only fitting that each table featured one of their favorite rides & attractions from theme parks all across the world. Ryan (but mostly) Hilary made each and it was a wonderful testimony to their relationship! The reception started off with introductions and a short first dance that turned into the whole wedding party joining along before dinner service started. After enjoying a delicious dinner, Ryan and Hilary cut the cake in Hungarian fashion in which they served the wedding cake to the guests themselves! The real party started after the cake cutting and the dance floor was open! For those who didn’t want to dance, they even had Mario Kart projected on the big screen for others to play! After capturing a handful of dancing shots, we said our goodbyes, and thanked Ryan and Hilary for letting up be a part of their special day! We were so happy to spend the day with this awesome couple, and we wish you nothing but love and happiness in your future!
