Lake Louisa State Park Engagement Photographer

Photographer Nelson absolutely rocked Jennifer and Terrence’s engagement session at Lake Louisa State Park! Most of our wedding packages include these engagement sessions, which are a great opportunity for our couples to become comfortable with their wedding photographer before the big day! Plus it’s GREAT practice for posing, guidance, and trust with our couples, which we feel are very important to a successful wedding.

Jennifer & Terrence shared their love for nature with Nelson, so we picked Lake Louisa State Park for their perfect location! This is also one of Photographer Nelson’s favorite parks to be honest. It offers a great background for couples wanting a woodsy nature theme to photos along with privacy from crowds and noise. In the beginning of the session, Nelson, Jennifer, and Terrence started over by the lake to get them loosened up and comfortable. Then, they moved over to a more woodsy area which is when they the couple told Nelson they had one of their first kisses sitting in a tree. Although it wasn’t the same park, Nelson had them pose sitting on one of the branches of a large tree and had them kiss to bring them back to that moment! By then the sun was setting into golden hour, so we moved over the a grassy field to finish the session right before the sun set. Not so long after we captured their engagement session, we captured their wedding at Highland Manor, and we can’t wait to share photos from that day!
