Photographer Steven had such an incredible and sweet time capturing Lauren and Josh’s engagement session at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa! Josh had originally booked us for a surprise proposal, and he wanted to pop the question at the Grand Floridian in front of Disney’s Wedding Pavilion. Steven arrived onsite early to scout out good location, lighting, and get a gauge for the crowd of guests. However, he got nervous because storms and rain were quickly rolling into the area before they arrived, and the lobby of Grand Floridian was packed with guests admiring the holiday decorations, like the gingerbread house. About 30 minutes before our scheduled time, Josh called Steven and says that they just got engaged! Steven was like, wait what?! LOL!
It turns out, that morning Lauren and Josh participated in an Ironman Competition, and Josh felt it was natural to go ahead and pop the question at the end of the race. Steven completely agreed with him, and we thought that was such a personal and perfect way to do it! Josh asked if we could transform our scheduled proposal session into an engagement session instead. Steven said absolutely, and how about this, can we move our session to tomorrow, when the weather is MUCH better lol! Steven was so thankful that they wanted to shift this session around, because we rescheduled for the following day at Grand Floridian and the weather was absolutely PERFECT! They were both so fun and natural in front of the camera, and Steven made sure to use the Wedding Pavilion as their backdrop for some of the photos. Lauren and Josh brought their medals from the Ironman Competition, and also the stunning engagement ring! To Lauren and Josh, thank you for such a fun engagement session and we wish you a lifetime of love and happiness! Let us know when it’s time to plan for the wedding ;).
