Florida State Parks Portrait Session Photographers

Philip & Alia were an absolutely sweet couple, and when they met with photographer Michael, they told us they wanted something different and unique for a portrait session. They always go camping and LOVE to look at the stars whenever they travel! Philip actually surprised Alia on their anniversary by taking her to East End Market to meet with us at our office and book one of our signature Starry Night Portrait sessions!!

We scheduled our session, and met these two at our favorite Florida dark sky location, Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park, and in typical Florida fashion, we arrived to rainy weather! We took some time under cover waiting for the rain to clear, getting to know each other! Once we saw an opening in the clouds, we started exploring and capturing their portraits around the park! Kissimmee Prairie is such a wonderful, beautiful park, we explored the prairie landscape, oak hammocks, watched for wildlife, and even photographed through a beautiful sunset! The two were naturals at posing, and we even snuck in a few double exposures! We then cooked a delicious dinner over a campfire and relaxed before the stars…tried to come out. Unfortunately we had a pretty cloudy night ahead of us, and we only saw a few peeks of stars. Philip and Alia were so patient with us, as we waited a few hours for the skies to clear, but nature had different plans! We have to completely depend on nature for these organic sessions, so sometimes this happens!! We decided to call it a night, and we’ll be rescheduling our Starry Night Session again soon! We can’t wait to take them out and actually share the night sky together, it’ll be incredible!! Thank you two for sharing this adventure with us, and we’ll see you soon for part II!
