Recently, photographer Steven and his assistant Anthony traveled from Orlando, FL to Phoenix, AZ to capture the NIRSA Conference! This is our 12th conference we’ve photographed for NIRSA, and this year the conference took place at the Phoenix Convention Center. We will meet you where your conference or event is taking place, traveling is never a problem for us!
The conference kicked off with their fundraiser golf tournament at the Papago Golf Course, which is right outside Downtown Phoenix. Throughout the week, there were a large amount of classes, education sessions, and roundtable discussions to photograph. These events were perfect opportunities to capture talking, action, and interactions between the attendees and leaders. Later that night, the attendees made their way over to an off-site conference social event at The Duce where we captured a variety of candid social interactions.
Throughout the week, the conference hosts a large expo trade show floor which is very fitness-driven. We captured weight sets and exercise equipment demos, a pickleball tournament, and demonstrations by Unified Sports (Special Olympics) and ESports. In this area, they also hosted fitness forums for attendees including yoga, workout routines, and dance fitness.
Conferences like this have a lot going on each day, so it’s important to find a photography team that can divide and conquer, or at least build a photo schedule for each day, so we know when and where to be from morning through evening. We make sure to schedule timeline meetings with our clients before the conference to get all of this information ahead of time, to minimize the last-minute questions while our contacts are busy executing the conference! We’re proud that this is the 12th conference we’ve photographed for NIRSA, which we hope is a testament to our quality and consistency! They are absolutely family to us now, and cannot wait to travel for their next one.
