Capen House Wedding Photographers Winter Park

Wedding Photographers Michael and Nelson were so excited for Devon and Jose’s wedding day for quite a while now at The Capen House, within the Albin Polasek Museum! Devon and our team go way back to Orlando City Soccer Club days when we first started photographing for them, and has become such a good friend of ours! To us, her wedding day was so comfortable and seemed right for us to be there with her and Jose! :)

We began the day capturing their preparations at The Capen House bridal suite, with Devon’s hair and makeup provided by LeJeune Artistry, and check out those beautiful floral arrangements created by Bluegrass Chic! Jose arrived to the venue shortly after, but in the meantime, we setup Devon’s first look with her dad. Devon gifted her dad a tie clip that was actually engraved with Devon’s handwriting, it was such a sweet moment to capture! It was then time for Devon’s first look with Jose, which allowed us to capture a lot of portraits of them both before the wedding ceremony! Due to Covid, Devon and Jose had to trim their bridal party size a bit, but they were all still present, so we made sure to capture a great group shot of them anyway!

Their wedding ceremony took place at Capen House as well, right on Lake Osceola, with Jeff Scott playing their ceremony prelude and background music on guitar! Their ceremony was so beautiful, with an unbelievable arch and floral display from Bluegrass Chic, also with Harry Rubi of Sensational Ceremonies as their officiant. Devon and Jose exchanged their vows, the rings, and of course the big kiss! We followed their ceremony with family portraits, and snuck in a few extra personal portraits before it was time for reception!

Their wedding reception was setup outside, with the absolute best weather imaginable! Just in case, they had Orlando Wedding and Party Rentals provide their outdoor tent for the space, and their decor and details were absolutely stunning! Their wedding cake was designed by Sprinkles Custom Cakes, with the cake stand and chairs from A Chair Affair! Check out the cool seating chart created by Woodland Custom Designs! Their reception began with introductions, toasts from the family, and a delicious dinner catered by Arthur’s Catering. We then jumped into their first dance and parent dances! It was then party time, with music provided by their live wedding band, The Werd! Their reception was so alive, and we had a blast capturing all of the fun! We have to give a special thanks to Lora Wardman Events for their fantastic wedding planning and coordination, and was great working alongside PB and J Studio (videography) throughout the day! This was such an incredible team of vendors who helped make all this possible, and we cannot thank Devon and Jose enough for inviting us to capture this amazing part of their love story! It’s just so amazing that we got to be a part of this, and we wish them both the very best (and I’m sure we’ll be seeing you again soon!) Congratulations!!
