Photographer Steven Miller had such a spooky, great time capturing our first Zombietoberfest and Night Market at the Audubon Park Garden District! We’ve been trying for years to capture this annual event, but each year we were always booked for weddings or prior events, and we FINALLY made it this year! This was such a great way to kick off the Halloween holiday season! This event consisted of over 60 vendors, food trucks, 2 craft beer gardens, live music, and a DJ between the two plazas on Corrine Drive, in the heart of Audubon Park! Our route within Zombietoberfest kicked off with Sprinkles Jewelry & Gifts, which provided complimentary delicious homemade cookies and a special witches brew for adults! The event also had a Craft Beer Garden offering an array of craft draft or bottled beers, and wine which was provided by Redlight Redlight, and Bikes Beans and Bordeaux! Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream hosted a Slime Lab where you can create your own slime in Frankenstein’s laboratory, so much fun for the kids!! The Emmanuel Episcopal Church hosted a Kidstoberfest with a free costume contest with prizes that were provided by The Lovely Boutique Market, Stardust, Frame Masters Gallery, and Leu Gardens! Scary Stories were read at Stardust and live music with The Gorefathers was played at Bikes Beans and Bordeaux! We didn’t get to capture it but we heard there was also a live showing of Nightmare Before Christmas outside, how cool is that?! Audubon Park always puts together such great events that bring our communities together and promote local businesses!! That’s what we’re all about!! We LOVE this hood, and we can’t wait to attend the next Zombietoberfest! Be sure to follow them on facebook to keep up with all of the great events around the neighborhood!!
