Apopka Highland Manor Wedding Photographer

We were pretty excited for Malea and Brandon’s wedding day to hurry up and get here! Photographers Steven captured their engagement session, and knew these two were going to have such a fun, laid back wedding, and they did not disappoint!

Steven and second photographer Michael began the day at the new Hilton Garden Inn, right across the street from Highland Manor, in Apopka! This was our first time photographing in the hotel, and we were very impressed; many places to capture portraits, great textures for detail shots, and rooms were clean and spacious! We captured some details such as Malea’s beautiful wedding gown from Stella York, shoes, jewelry, and the rings! Malea and her ladies were getting their hair and makeup done by Juliana Makeup + Hair Design, meanwhile their beautiful floral was being delivered from Dream Designs Wedding and Event Florist! Michael grabbed Brandon and his boys and captured some fun portraits of them around Highland while Malea and her bridesmaids put on their dresses and jewelry. We then all migrated over to Highland Manor (which, let’s remind you, is right across the street, so awesome!), and captured final prep before staging first looks! Malea did a first look with her dad first, then we setup Brandon outside in front of Highland, and had Malea step out behind him, tap him on the shoulder, and have him turn around, seeing his beautiful bride for the first time on the wedding day! Tears were definitely shed, especially when Malea surprised him with a wedding gift, honoring his mom. After we dried our tears, we captured their bridal party and personal portraits around the property, under Highland’s iconic oak tree, taking advantage of the beautiful winter weather!

Then came their wedding ceremony, which took place underneath Highland Manor’s iconic historic live-oak tree! Officiated by a close friend, their outdoor wedding ceremony included hand-written vows, the ring exchange, and of course that amazing kiss to make it official! After their ceremony, we captured their family portraits and just a handful of additional portraits during that sunset before we headed inside to the ballroom.

Their wedding planner Bonny of PS I Love You Productions led them into their ballroom for a private ‘reveal’ of the reception setup, and they were blown away. The room was gorgeous, uplighting from Zohler & Sobel Entertainment, floral from Dream Designs Floral, and their wedding cake from Sugar Sugar Cake Boutique! Their introductions packed the room with so much energy, and the dance floor was absolutely packed and rocking all night thanks to Zohler & Sobel. Of course we always have to thank Dubsdread Catering for their delicious food; synonymous with all Dubsdread properties! We were able to sneak Malea and Brandon outside in the cold for a few extra night portraits before it was time to bid them farewell through their grand exit with guests! We had an absolute blast celebrating with Malea and Brandon, and we wish them both the very best! Congratulations guys!!
