Photographer Steven and assistant Melody had such a great time capturing Nadia and Patrick’s wedding at Highland Manor! We started off the day saying hello to Nadia in her suite at the Hilton Garden Inn, right next door to the Highland Manor venue. While her and her bridal squad were getting their makeup done by Beauté Spécialé, it was time to create and craft her bridal flat lay! We grabbed a few of her details which included pieces of her florals from Pine and Pedals, a loungefly backpack, cute little Carl and Ellie from the movie Up!, wedding rings, Converse all star shoes that read “Just Married” on the bottom, and so many green things; we love green lol! A lot of their wedding details were travel themed, which you can see were incorporated into their invites and save the dates. After capturing these details, Nadia’s bridal squad made their way over to the bridal suite at Highland Manor, and we grabbed Patrick and his groom squad for some getting ready and formal portraits! After Nadia’s dress was fully steamed and her and the wedding party were dressed, Nadia did a first look in her dress with her dad and grandma. This was such a sweet moment, it even brought tears to our eyes. It was then time for the bride and groom’s first look outside! Patrick’s reaction to Nadia was one for the books, and they even read their personal vows during this time in private. The first look always relieves so much of the wedding timeline stress, so now we could actually capture their bridal party, personal, and family portraits! We were able to squeeze most of these in before the ceremony, which saved a lot of time for cocktail hour and allowed them to enjoy it. This is why we love first looks!
Now it was time for the ceremony! David with Highland Manor lined the wedding party and the family up to walk down the aisle, and Nadia and her dad took a shot of tequila right before they walked down the aisle which was definitely a father/daughter moment to remember! Officiant Amy San Pedro led the ceremony with exchanging of rings and a kiss to seal the deal! We then captured some post-ceremony family photos and even caught a rocket launch which was such a fun moment to share with everyone! After these photos, it was time to celebrate! Nadia and Patrick did a room reveal before introductions with David, and note how beautiful their reception space looked; especially the table top details! Each table was themed and decorated with elements from different countries! They also incorporated vintage elements into bar décor as well! After listening to some toasts from family members it was time to eat a delicious dinner by Dubsdread Catering! DJ Antonio of Top Sound Event Pros then kicked off the party and kept it going all night! They were SO good at reading the room and playing the tracks that kept everyone dancing! During dancing, we snuck out Nadia and Patrick for some fun night portraits, playing with some of our new Magmod techniques, and they were so patient with us trying these new lighting strategies. We also snuck a portrait of Patrick serving Nadia a drink, vintage bar style! To Nadia and Patrick, congratulations and thank you for such a fun day filled with happiness and laughs! We wish you nothing but love and happiness in your future!
