Outdoor Weddings Leu Gardens Rose Garden Orlando

Wedding Photographer Steven had such an amazing wedding day with Kristina and Dave! Steven knew from the moment they first talked that these two were going to be laid back, quirky, and fun to photograph! Sure enough, they were just as much if not more than we expected, which made for such a relaxing wedding day for us! We love meeting couples that share our same personalities; we end up becoming friends and building a great relationship and banter throughout the wedding day, which always results in better images! :)

Steven arrived at Leu Gardens and proceeded to their wedding cottage for last minute preparations and touch ups! Kristina already had her hair and makeup completed by Gina Bucci and Christine from Alchemy Skincare and Beauty! Once Kristina and Dave were both dressed and ready, we set Dave up outside of the cottage, and then brought Kristina outside behind him. They still hadn’t seen each other just yet, but we had Kristina walk up behind him and tap him on his shoulder. This was Dave’s cue to turn around, and see his beautiful bride for the first time! It was such a sweet first look, and we LOVE incorporating these into wedding day timelines, because it’s one of the few moments of a wedding day where the bride and groom can spend a quiet moment together! As per usual in Florida, right as we were about to start portraits, it began raining! We took cover under the Leu House Museum patio, and made good use of the time capturing portraits under cover! Every time we got a break in the clouds, Steven snuck them back into the courtyard for more photos, and then retreated when it started raining again. We danced with the weather for a while until the sun was nice enough to say hello, and we captured as much as we could before it was time for their wedding ceremony!

These two had their outdoor wedding ceremony in the beautiful rose garden, surrounded by beautiful flowers (which smelled amazing by the way!) They exchanged their vows, the rings, and a unique hand fasting ceremony with ribbon, before they sealed their vows with a kiss! You could really feel the love during their ceremony, even among their family and kids! After their ceremony, we captured their family portraits within the garden, and right at that moment, Florida, as if it was exercising its sarcasm, decided to downpour on us! We hoofed it as fast as we could to the main building, where their indoor wedding reception was set and ready (and thank GOODNESS it was inside lol!).

We met up with Emma (of Dubsdread) inside, who served as their day-of coordinator and wedding planner. She made sure all of the decor, setup, and bar/catering was setup and ready for their guests. Dubsdread Catering supplied all of the delicious food as well! DJ J Zouain of Zouain Entertainment supplied the rocking tunes and kept the dance floor packed throughout their reception as well! Leu Gardens is known for their beautiful gardens, but also their historic live-oak trees, so we made sure to sneak Kristina and Dave outside for some night portraits, especially with a break in the rain! We also captured their cake cutting (with a Publix wedding cake), family dances, and plenty of fun dancing before it was time to say goodnight to the bride and groom! We absolutely loved spending the day with these two and their families, and we wish them both the very best and a big congratulations!! ❤️
