Wedding Photographer Michael had such a great time capturing Ericka and Nick’s wedding day at the Maitland Arts & History Museum, which is actually a National Historic Landmark! From the moment they booked with us we knew they were going to be so sweet and fun to photograph! Michael started the day capturing their outdoor ceremony at Maitland Arts Center’s iconic chapel location, and snuck in a few photos of the reception setup as well, which worked out VERY well!
After their beautiful wedding ceremony, officiated by Vanessa of Engaged Sounds Entertainment, we captured their family portraits as well as some personal portraits around the venue! As Florida does, it started raining quite a bit after the ceremony, so we had to be very strategic with our portrait locations, trying to keep Ericka and Nick as dry as possible! We were so glad we captured some of their reception setup details, like their handmade paper nametags for place settings, as the rain definitely altered the decor! Ericka and Nick were honestly such great sports though and let us take them wherever the weather would allow! Ericka and Nick actually have a residency at the Arts Center, so we actually took a photo of them in front of their studio door to hide from the rain!
They moved their dinner inside to keep their guests dry, but the dancing was moved back outside in the courtyard, with the awesome uplighting and music by Engaged Sounds Entertainment! The delicious dinner was catered by Cocktails Catering, and Michael was there to capture all of the sweet dances, cake cutting (created by Charlie’s Bakery), marriage-appreciation dance, and the bouquet toss with Ericka! We had such a great time with these two and their guests, and we cannot thank them enough for sharing their wedding day with us!
