We were so excited to recently capture the Audubon Park Garden District‘s 7th Annual Kidsfest, right here on Corrine Drive in our local neighborhood! What is absolutely wonderful about this event is that so many local businesses participate, from one side of Corrine to the other!! Throughout the area, kids and their families can come and participate in creative activities, make their own treats, learn about the environment, and make new friends!
We captured an amazing amount of activities from local businesses! Park Avenue CDs gave kids the opportunity to spin their own record for the whole store to hear, Sprinkles Jewelry and Gifts hosted a treasure hunt for prizes, while kids could head over to Blue Bird Bake Shop to design their own cupcake! East End Market hosted a painting arts and crafts project so kids could paint their own critter, and Warrior One Yoga hosted a kids yoga session as well as a healthy eating adventure!
The Orlando Magic provided fun basketball activities and a giant basketball hoop for kids to play with, plus free giveaways! Next door, right outside of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Orlando Kids Fringe provided a coloring and arts/crafts station! Plus, the church provided some fun stained glass tours within the church! We were so lucky to catch the Ladybug release too at the church, where kids first-hand learned the environmental importance of ladybugs and got to release them into the community!
In addition, Shannon Holt provided free facepainting, Bikes Beans and Bourdeaux hosted a Build a Healthy Sandwich seminar, and The Lovely Boutique Market provided free vintage toys to their young visitors! There was SO much to do on this action-packed Sunday, we had such a great time and we can tell that the kids LOVED the event!! We cannot wait to capture next year’s Kidsfest!
