Wedding photographer Michael was absolutely ecstatic when our bride and groom Annie and Ryan told him they were tying the knot in Savannah, Georgia! This city has a special place in our heart for its history, culture and gorgeous architecture, so we knew this was going to be a gorgeous wedding day! Annie had Michael and his assistant Sarah begin the wedding day capturing preparations and bridal details at the Andaz Hotel in Downtown Savannah. Annie and her ladies had matching robes and shoes to show off, and we made sure to get some photos of their dresses all hanging up together as well! Check out their beautiful floral arrangements from Kiwi Fleur! Once their hair/makeup services from Chrissy Sheffield Artistry were complete, we had Annie get in her gorgeous wedding gown from Gray Collective Bridal Boutique, and we had her open a sweet letter from Ryan before taking the ladies outside for bridal party photos! We actually took them to Johnson Square, which was absolutely picturesque!
We then proceeded to the Ships of the Sea Museum to prepare for their wedding ceremony! We met up with Ryan beforehand and captured some preparation portraits for him (rocking his suit from Men’s Wearhouse), and snuck a few wedding party portraits as well! Their wedding ceremony was so sweet, and actually officiated by David Goff from Sensational Ceremonies; surprising considering this was a destination wedding for us! We LOVED that moment when Ryan lifted Annie’s veil over her face, we don’t see that very much anymore and it’s such a great tradition to capture! Jaclyn Duncan Music provided the beautiful music during the ceremony. After their wedding ceremony, we captured their family portraits and then it was time to hop into their limo for more portraits! We travelled with Annie, Ryan and their videographers from Jeff & Mollie Weddings to so many different, iconic photo locations around Savannah, including Forsyth Park, River Street, and The Portal Arcade (one of their date spots that was very special to them!). These portraits were SO much fun, and we LOVE when couples give us the creative freedom to photograph in new places!
We returned to the Alida Hotel for their rooftop wedding reception! We couldn’t have asked for better weather, and we were even able to take advantage of the gorgeous reception! EYN Entertainment provided the reception music, and check out the beautiful wedding cake created by Wicked Cakes of Savannah! Annie and Ryan wanted to keep their wedding reception very casual, and we loved capturing their introductions, first dance, parent dances, and speeches from their friends and family throughout the evening! We’ve really been anticipating this wedding day for the longest time, and we are SO happy for Annie and Ryan! We can’t thank these two enough for taking us with them to Savannah, Georgia for their big day, congratulations guys!
