Wedding photographers Steven Miller and Michael had a blast capturing the wedding of our good friends, Amanda and Phil, at the Winter Park Farmer’s Market! We were very excited to be part of their special day! We started off the big day capturing wedding preparations at the home of Amanda’s parents! Phil and his guys were able to get ready in one part of the house, while the girls had the other side to themselves. It’s always great for the photographers when the bride and groom get ready in the same area, as it allows them to bounce back and forth and capture much more preparation! The beautiful bouquets and boutonnieres were created and delivered by Orlando Flower Market! Amanda’s family lives right in Downtown Orlando, so once preparations were finished, we went downstairs to get ready for the first looks! Our ‘first’ first look was between Amanda and her Dad, which was so incredibly sweet! Dad definitely teared up! Next, it was Phil’s turn for a first look! However, this time, Amanda read her wedding vows to him before allowing him to turn around and see his bride for the first time in her bridal gown! This is why we will always recommend first looks, they provide such organic and REAL emotions; such a great photo moment!! After the first looks, we took the bridal party and them around for any remaining portraits before we bowed to the Florida July heat and heading to St. Stephens Orthodox Church where the ceremony would take place. Once there, we snapped a few more photos before their wedding ceremony began! They had a traditional Orthodox wedding ceremony which was a bit different than we’re used to, but amazing to experience and photograph for the first time! At the end, the priest shared a few words with the couple and congregation before the couple sealed the deal with the much anticipated kiss! After their wedding ceremony, we captured their family portraits, which of course was hilarious! There was quite a bit of laughter on both sides!
We then proceeded to the Winter Park Farmer’s Market where the indoor wedding reception was held! The July heat did not stop the guests from enjoying themselves at cocktail hour on the outdoor patio! DJ Brian Scott with Weddings Only DJ did a fantastic job keeping the dance floor packed, and provided the beautiful uplighting around the indoor ballroom! During the party, we captured so much dancing, including a massive conga line as well as some limbo! The delicious catering was provided by The Gourmet Cuisine and the lovely cake was provided by Christina Smith. We can tell everyone had a great time and Amanda and Phil continued the party at The Wine Room once the wedding reception came to a close! With the help of wedding coordinator Alexa Ventrone, the day went incredibly smoothly, and we can’t thank her enough for her wedding planning throughout the day! We are so glad that we got to be part of this special day and we wish Amanda and Phil all the best for their future!
