Lake Wales Wedding Photographers at Bok Tower Gardens

Photographers Steven Miller and Nelson had a great time capturing the wedding of Sidney and Angel at the Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales, Florida! From Central Orlando, Bok Tower is definitely worth the trip, as soon as you arrive, you are instantly surrounded by Florida orange groves! The driveway is a scenic 1 mile stretch of gorgeousness, and you’re immersed in beautiful gardens and scenery throughout the park! We started the day off by capturing preparations, which took place onsite at the Olmsted House, across from the gardens. As they both got ready in their separate bridal suites, we took them out separately to capture the two sides of their bridal party! Once we were finished, we proceeded to the iconic Singing Tower for their outdoor garden wedding ceremony! With their friends and family as witness, the couple said their vows and sealed the deal with the much anticipated kiss!

After the ceremony we began capturing their family portraits, which we typically do as part of a well-structured wedding timeline! However, due to the Florida afternoon showers, we had to abort and take shelter quickly, resulting in family portraits in two different locations! Although it’s not ideal, Florida can certainly influence some last minute decisions on your wedding day, which is why it’s very important to hire a professional photographer who knows how to move with the changing timeline and make up for any lost time that may happen! Following family portraits, we took the bridal party portraits as well as the personal portraits of the couple! Once we finished with pictures, we headed to the Main Visitor Center where the reception would take place! Fat Boy’s Bar-B-Q catered the delicious dinner and Sweetpea’s Sucre Sweets created the amazing cake! Music on the Move provided the rockin’ DJ entertainment that kept people on the dance floor all evening long! We were able to sneak the couple out twice during the reception for more amazing portraits! The first time we got them out for a surprise rainbow, and another for some night portraits in front of the Tower! At the end of the night, the couple had an incredibly fun bubble exit! We really enjoyed spending time with this incredibly down to earth couple and we are so happy they chose us to photograph their special day! We wish them all the best in the future!
